There is something for everyone at Breathing Space. We offer a variety of yoga classes, mindfulness workshops and retreats. If you wish to de-stress, strengthen and open the body and mind, connect to peace, purpose and community, come explore our offerings. 

Slow Flow 

Open to all. Whether you're a beginner, or if you're looking for a slower approach to practice, this class will bring you a sense of connection with the body and breath as you explore a variety of yoga postures. As you cultivate awareness of the body, breath and mind, you will leave the class feeling centred and reconnected.

Pregnancy Yoga

Open to all expectant mums 12 weeks and over. Pregnancy yoga can help mums to connect with themselves and baby during this special time, and prepare for birth. A well balanced class which touches on the various aspects of yoga practice - breath, mindful movement, pelvic floor exercises, meditation and relaxation - to help release tension, and  experience renewed internal and external strength and softness. Leave class feeling relaxed and at ease.

Nourishing Yoga: Gentle & Restorative Yoga

A class that focuses on stress reduction and relaxation. This practice invites us to slow down, to relax into the postures, and to simply breath. A quiet, yet potent practice, that is open to all who de-stress and replenish. We'll start with some centering breathing exercises, then move into some gentle yoga postures and movement. This is followed by a restorative yoga practice - a passive, meditative form of yoga that allows one to focus on breath while releasing tension in the body. The class ends with a mini Yoga Nidra practice.

Mums & Bubs Movement & Yoga

A special class designed for post natal mummies where she can reconnect with herself, move in  a way that honours the post natal period. Slowly build strength, release tension, experience and practise relaxation techniques that can be soothing for both bodies and mind.

​

Practice will also touch on special aspects of post partum recovery such as core awareness and strength,  pelvic floor exercises, diastasis recti and many more. 

​

Enliven Flow 

A dynamic and intentional class. One that can help you build internal and external strength and openness. Cultivate strength, balance and stability while moving through the class with awareness. Expect to move through sun salutations, standing sequence, inversions and exploration of hand balancing.  We always end our class with a breathwork and relaxation.

Ashtanga Foundation

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is practiced in sequential order. The flowing sequence of specific asanas/postures are coordinated with the breath. This link between breath and postures fosters a sense of concentration and internal steadiness. 

​

There are six series in Ashtanga Yoga beginning with The Primary Series. This first series is the introduction for most students. It can be practiced on a daily basis for overall health and wellness.

​

In this Led class we will be practicing half Primary series - standing postures and sitting with variations offered which means you can make practice work for you. For the finishing postures, you'll have the opportunity to practice a suitable closing sequence that honours where you are. 

​

We will end with a soothing relaxation to nurture a sense of balance and harmony in body and mind.

​

This class will cater to those who already have some yoga experience.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a special practice where postures (asanas) are held passively, targeting the connective tissues, fascia of the body, increasing circulation in the joints, releasing tension, and improving flexibility overtime. A meditative class that invites you to connect to a sense of balance, giving you space to cultivate internal awareness by tuning into body, mind and breath.
