This restful yoga class combines supportive yoga postures and movement to help stretch and release tension from your day and bring forth a sense of openness in the body, together with the nurturing, therapeutic practice of restorative yoga. Restorative yoga is known for its ability to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. This is the “rest and digest” part of your nervous system that helps keep basic functions working as they should. In this class you will be using props such as blocks, bolsters, pillows or blankets. These props will help you hold passive poses for longer without exerting or tiring out your muscles. It also allows you to feel comfortable and supported, regardless of your experience with yoga. You are invited to de-stress and restore through various ways: breath work/pranayama, gentle and supportive yoga postures, and yoga nidra (deep rest). This class is open to anyone needing time to stretch, replenish by connecting to a deep restful state. Pregnant, and post natal mums are welcome to join in too. If you're practicing from home, prepare your yoga mat, and props such as bolsters and blocks, but if you don’t have these, grab lots of pillows cushions and/or blankets.
Cancellation If you need to cancel, please give us at least 24 hours notice. We will gladly give you credit towards the class. We know that 'life happens', so please let us know as soon as possible by cancelling your class ONLINE.
